Green are the trees
that shade me
day and night.
Blue is the sea
that glitters
under the bright Sun.
Red is the blood
that flows
like the river.
Yellow is the yolk
that sits firmly
in the shell.

Not bad .
However,in the 2nd line of the first stanza, the word - shades should be shade. Trees are plural right?
