Happiness is a feeling which shows liking your life. When you learned to treasure your life, you will do each and every way to gain happiness in your life. To me, the greatest happiness comes not from thinking of myself, but from helping others. When you help others, the happiness feeling comes naturally. Money does not bring happiness to me. Family and friends bring happiness to me. They are always there whenever you need them and will always give encouragement to me. Money can't replace the love and happiness I gained from my family and friends. It's priceless. That's what happiness means to me in my life.

Colour Poem....
Green are the trees
that shade me
day and night.
Blue is the sea
that glitters
under the bright Sun.
Red is the blood
that flows
like the river.
Yellow is the yolk
that sits firmly
in the shell.

Book Review
Title : Holes in the Fence
Retold by : Sheikh Hassan Seylan 'Abad
Illustrator : Raihan Munif Bahasuan
Publisher : Sheikh Hassan Seylan 'Abad (ABAD CERIA ENTERPRISE)
Summary of the story :
This story is about a boy who had a bad temper. His family and friends were afraid of his bad temper that none would come near him. One day, he bought a new pair of boots and told his neighbour that he will join them in the field. When he turned up, nobody was there. His anger grew. He went home with his bad temper. He kicked his boots towards his father who was watering the plants. The boots almost hit his father who was standing a few inches away. Then, he went inside his room and shouted when he noticed that his towel was not there. His father wore a piece of 'sarong' and knocked on the door with his son's towel. He acted like a servant to his son. The boy looked at his father and felt wrong. He told his father not to do this to him and he admitted that he was bad. He apologised and asked help from his father to help him turn over a new leaf. His father forgave him and agreed to help his son. He gave his son a box of nails and a hammer. He told him to hammer a nail into the wooden fence whenever he loses his temper. The boy followed his instructions and hammer a nail into the wooden fence each day. After a while, he discovered that he can control his temper and told his father that he don't need these nails anymore. His father smiled and took back the nails. Then, he told his son to keep the hammer and pulled out one nail each day. The days passed and the boy told his father that all nails in the fence were gone. The father took his son's hand and asked his son to look at the holes in the fence. He told his son that the fence will never be the same and no matter how many time you say sorry, the wound will still be there. The boy understood and apologised to his father. He had learned his lessons.

Book Review
Title : Clever Katya
Retold by : Julia Donaldson
Illustrator : Jane Kochnewitz
Publisher : Ginn and Company
A tale from : Russia
Summary of the Story:
This story is about The Czar and the farmer's daughter, Katya. One day, The Czar was out of his palace. He felt hungry and asked the farmer for some bread. He liked the bread and wanted to see the wonderful baker that baked this bread. Katya, the farmer's daughter was a clever, beautiful and a good baker. The Czar tried many times to outsmart her but she was too clever for him. The Czar began to like her and asked her to married him. Katya agreed but with one permission which is , she will take anything she loved best in the palace whenever the Czar doesn't wants her in his palace anymore. The Czar promised her and they lived happily in the palace. One night, the Czar was in a bad mood and they quarrelled. The Czar told the soldiers to bring Katya back to her father. She packed up her things into a big chest and went home with her father. When she reached home, she opened the big chest and her father was surprised. Inside the chest, laid the Czar asleep. He woke up and was angry. Katya reminded him about his promised. The Czar was surprised and he promised he will never sent Katya back home again. He also admitted that Katya is the cleverest person in Russia and they lived happily ever after.
Which part do you like most?
The part I like the most in this story is when Katya opens the big chest because I didn't know that the Czar was in there. I thought inside the chest would be gold or any precious item in the palace. It really surprised me. Anyway, it was an interesting story.
What did you learn from the story?
I have learned that being a clever person is better than being a dumb person because when you know more things, you wouldn't been trick by other people.
Rate the book.
I rate the book 5/5 because I think it's an interesting book and everyone should read it to get more knowledge or know more about the story. It also teaches moral values which is very useful and we can gain new words from the book we read to use in our essay.

About Me!
Hi, before I start with my family, I would like to introduce myself first. My name is Charmaine Hee Kah Yi. I am a 12 year old girl. Now, I am currently studying in a big and beautiful school named Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Bintang Utara. It have many facilities such as computer labs, science labs, an art lab, a bookshop with many stationeries and a place where me and my friends can hang out during free time, named ' Hot Spot SKSBU ' . In my school, teachers are the best. They help me succeed as well as teaching me a new lesson or moral each day. I really appreciate what they have done for me these years. My favourite subject in school will be English. Actually, the truth is, I love all the subjects. In every subject, I learned a lot of new things. I love learning new things.
Now, about my family. I have a peaceful and loving family. My father, Danny Hee Kok Loong works as a managing director in an ice factory in Puchong. He is a hardworking and faithful father to me. My mother, Cindy Chia Mee Seeh works as an accountant in the ice factory to help my father. She is usually a loving and care person. Every day, my parents go to work at 10 o'clock in the morning and usually comes home at 9 o'clock at night. They work very hard to find money for the family. I have 3 siblings. I am the eldest among them. I take responsibility to take care of my brother and sister . My brother, Dickson Hee Dic Shen is now standard 5. He is sometimes good and sometimes quite naughty. Anyway, he is still my beloved brother. My sister, Cheryne Hee Wei Yi is now Standard 3. She is quite nervous about the timetables given by her Maths teacher. She is a good and hardworking sister to me. I love my family and I hope they will live a happy life.
Now, back to myself. My hobbies are doing art and crafts, playing badminton, reading books, sewing and surfing the Internet. For my ambition, I would like to be a successful doctor or a stewardess, so that my future will also be successful and I can live a good life. My objectives for this year, 2008 will be getting 5A's for my UPSR and also be a better person. I will study hard to reach to my goal. The gate to success is the gate to a new world!
